How to use your Decathlon floor pump

Problems and solutions

The tyre doesn't inflate

There are two possible reasons for this:

- you haven't pushed the pump far enough onto the valve.
- you haven't unscrewed the valve enough (not relevant for Schrader).

The inflation head doesn't connect to the valve

- Make sure you're using the right hose for your valve.
- Check that your valve is either Presta - Schrader.
- Push the pump head and make sure the valve is inserted all the way in.

Your pump hose is damaged, and air escapes during inflation

You need to replace the hose, which is available as a spare part. Replacing it is simple. Let our video tutorial guide you.

No air is coming out of the pump head

Check the hose first. If there's no leak, the problem is with the internal mechanism. There's a leak which makes it seem like you're inflating into a void. So there's no more "resistance" during inflation. If you're encountering this issue, you can replace the junction of the internal inflation mechanism. This is available as a spare part. Replacing it is simple. Let our video tutorial guide you.
