This page is here to guide you through the use of your Woodrower.
You will find tips for the assembly, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of your rowing machine.
This rowing machine is 100% repairable.
We carried out more than 100 hours of testing with more than 145 testers and the rowing machine managed to pass 280,000 continuous cycles.

Initial use
The footrests of your Woodrower are adjustable, you can adjust:
- Board height: while holding the support board, loosen the four screws (1) without removing them, adjust the height, then re-tighten the screws without over tightening.
- Leg height: select the height setting (2) that is most comfortable for you. It is advisable to position the strap at the metatarsophalangeal joint (3).

Your Woodrower's console button turns on automatically after a few rowing strokes.
At start-up, the Domyos logo appears (1). If the rowing machine detects a nearby Bluetooth signal, the connection screen appears (2), you can see below the pairing possibilities.
Press the button to start a session and begin rowing. The training information goes from one to the other in a loop every 5 seconds (3). If you wish to lock one of these values, press the button when it appears on the screen, a green padlock appears (4) to indicate that the screen is locked.
You can connect your Woodrower to a fitness application and/or a heart rate monitor via Bluetooth.
Pull on the bar so that the console button lights up, the Domyos logo appears.
If the rower detects a Bluetooth signal nearby, the connection screen appears (1). The connection is automatic.
- If you want to connect an application, the APP logo lights up(2) on the connection screen and the Bluetooth logo appears in the lower right corner.
- If you want to connect a heart rate monitor, the heart rate logo lights up (3) on the connection screen and the green heart appears during training at the bottom left.
- If you want to connect an application and a heart rate monitor, both logos light up (4) on the connection screen and the logos appear during training at the bottom of each side of the training time.

1/ Starting position: straight back and legs at 90°.
2/ Push with your legs.
3/ Tilt backwards, then pull with your arms.
4/ Bring back your arms, back and then your legs.
Before folding the rowing machine, it is important to remove your phone/tablet from the holder (1).
the locking system must first be disengaged (2).
Then take the handle (3) at the back of the rowing machine and fold it carefully.
The smartphone holder folds up automatically when the seat is folded down.
This rowing machine is self-powered, it generates the electricity necessary for its use.
The console comes on after a few strokes.
For best performance, it is recommended to row at a rate of at least 22 strokes per minute.
It takes care of you, so you should do the same for it. Regular maintenance is necessary to preserve the performance of your equipment and extend its service life.
Do not leave in a damp place.
Do not store outside.
Do not store upright.
After every session you should take time to wipe any sweat from the machine. You should also dust it regularly with a soft cloth.
You should make regular checks to ensure that your machine is stable and that the screws and nuts and bolts are sufficiently tight, as per the user guide.
The battery needs at least 20 minutes of charging every 4 months.
If you do not use the rowing machine for more than 4 months, it is recommended to disconnect the battery.

When you pull on the bar, the strap 1) follows.
It is guided by the belt guide pulleys(2) and in turn pulls the spring kit (3).
The spring kit, via the belt (4), turns the flywheel (5).
Your rowing machine's resistance is motorised.
As you row, when you turn the console button (1), to vary the resistance level, the command goes through the console motherboard (2) before reaching the motor (3).
The motor activates a mechanical cable that moves the magnetic plate (4).
The closer the magnet plate is to the flywheel, the higher the pulling resistance.
An error code appears on the console button:
E1: Problem with the link between the button and the control board. Check the console button connection cable(1) .
E2: Problem with the motor.Check the motor connection cable (2).
To do this check you need to remove the wooden top housing. The video below will show you how to remove this housing.

You have connection issues.
If you see this screen on your rowing machine's console button, the connection to your app or heart rate monitor has been lost.
The rowing machine must be restarted to reconnect.
Press the console button for 3 seconds to turn off your rower, then pull the bar to turn on the rower.
You hear noises during training.
If you hear a noise when the seat moves along the rail, you should first check that nothing is blocking the wheel's path along the rail.
If nothing is obstructing, a seat wheel may be damaged, please contact Domyos support, using the support form at the bottom of this page, so that you can replace it.
If you hear a grinding noise when you pull on the strap, first check that the noise is not coming from the wheels that guide the strap. If the noise is coming from inside the product, the draw spring may be affected.

If your rowing machine slips on the floor during use, first check the adjustment and condition of the adjustable legs (1). Then check the state of wear of the flip foot (2).

Your rowing machine moves during training
Your rowing machine is not stable while you are training.
First check that the rowing machine is on level ground, if necessary you can adjust the height of the adjustable legs (1).
You should also check that the rowing machine's locking system (2) is correctly tightened on both sides, you can adjust the setting by disengaging the system and screwing the attachment hook in/out.
The front of your rowing machine rises when you pull on the bar.
