If the console isn't turning on or is pausing after a few seconds, you should be able to resolve the problem with a few easy checks:
1. Your bike is self-powered. When using it for the first time, you'll have to pedal to create electricity to turn the console on and charge the battery. The battery then supplies power when you're not pedalling.
2. Check the condition of the cables and connections to your product behind the console and under the stem.
This involves checking that:
- the connectors are fully attached,
- the cables are not crushed / stripped or cut,
- the pins on the connectors are properly aligned.
The video below shows what to do. The bike shown is not a DOMYOS EB 520, but the action is the same.
3. If those checks don't solve your problem, check that there is a blue light behind the console above the connector, and make a service request further down on this page.
If you have a randomly occurring E2 error code / an E3 error code, or the resistance doesn't vary, check the condition of the cables and connections to your device behind the console and under the stem.
This involves checking that:
- the connectors are fully attached,
- the cables are not crushed / stripped or cut,
- the pins on the connectors are properly aligned.
The video below shows what to do. The bike shown is not a DOMYOS EB 520, but the action is the same.

This is a console configuration problem.
If your console is not displaying the right speed: Check that the switch on the back of the console is set to the right type of equipment:
- VM = exercise bike.
- VE = cross trainer.
- RO = rowing machine.
Then push the button to the left of the switch to restart the console.
If your console isn't displaying the right unit of measurement:
1. If your console is on, push QUIT to turn it off.
2. Hold down OK for a few seconds to display the unit of measurement.
3. Choose the correct unit: press + or - to select either km for kilometres/hour or mi for miles/hour.
4. Press OK to confirm your choice.
Check that the visible screws and adjustment wheels are tight enough.
If the screws are not tight enough, parts could move and make noise.
You also may want to check the stability of your bike.
It is possible that the screws on the pedal and crank are not properly threaded or placed.
To solve the problem, loosen the pedals by two turns, then re-tighten them very hard.
1. Tighten all visible screws.
2. Re-tighten the adjustment wheels.
Turn the adjustment wheels on the rear foot until the bike is stable.
If your problem isn't solved or you've discovered something out of the ordinary during your checks, please make a service request and list the checks you've already done. Our team of technicians will get back to you as soon as possible. Feel free to include details of your request and attach photos or a video of your problem (under 20 MB). This will make it easier to diagnose the problem.
