ELECTRIC ASSIST FOR KAYAKS AND STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS
ELECTRIC ASSIST FOR KAYAKS AND STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS
It takes 3 hours to fully charge the battery

The electric assist is compatible with Itiwit kayaks and stand-up paddle boards fitted with the fin boxes shown opposite:

Unscrew the nose cone of the electric assist by turning it to the left, disconnect the battery cable if connected, remove the battery, and plug the charger into the battery connector.

It is essential to store and charge your battery in a cool, dry place between +10°C and +25°C and out of the sun.
Do not store the battery while it is discharged to avoid deep discharges that could cause the battery to malfunction.
Remember to charge the battery, even when not in use, at least every 3 months to avoid deep discharges that could impair the battery's capacity.
No, lithium batteries do not have a memory effect. You can charge your main battery whenever you like, even if it is not completely flat.
Insert the battery the right way around, with the battery connector facing downwards.
Connect the motor cable to the battery and then close the motor nose, aligning the mark with the padlock. Turn clockwise through one turn until the mark is aligned with the padlock again.
To be fully watertight, the seal must be clean, in good condition, and the motor nose must be screwed on correctly.

The electric assist is attached to one of the fins of your water craft:
- remove one of the fins, if it is installed,
- insert the motor in place,
- insert the pin to secure the assembly.

On an inflatable kayak, insert the assist in place of the front fin.
On an inflatable paddle board with one or three fins, insert the assist on the central fin.
On an inflatable stand-up paddle board with two fins, insert the assist on one of the two fins.

Under normal use, the motor will not come loose. However, if this should happen due to a shock or incorrect assembly, the motor will float on its own with the orange part out of the water so that it can be easily spotted. Similarly, if the control comes off, it will also float.
The electric assist is triggered by simply pressing the central button on the remote control, after having selected the required assist speed (1, 2, or 3).
Nevertheless, we designed this product as a paddling assist. We strongly recommend you paddle at the same time to make the most of your outing, and to optimise the battery life and the distances covered.
You can buy a new battery from your Decathlon workshop.

Conditions for transporting lithium batteries may vary from country to country and from airline to airline.

In any case, please first check with the airline.

The remote control and assist are waterproof, in accordance with the protection rating IPX8. This means that the products can be continuously immersed to a depth of 1 meter.
However, be aware that the battery and the inside of the motor are not waterproof. It is therefore important that no water gets inside.

Yes, the charger and battery are designed to be connected for up to 24 hours.
Nevertheless, we advise you to disconnect the charger as soon as the battery is charged.
A Frequently Asked Questions section is available on the "I HAVE A PROBLEM" tab to help you solve at home any difficulties you may encounter with your ITIWIT Electric Assist.
When your battery is worn out, take it back to your Decathlon store. It will be collected for recycling by a specialised organisation.
The whole product, including the battery, is guaranteed for 2 years, subject to the conditions of use and storage detailed in the instructions.
The battery lasts for between 45 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the assist mode used.

To guarantee the lifespan and performance of your battery, we recommend charging the battery at least every 3 months.
To pair the remote control with your assist:
- connect the main battery inside the assist,
- close the front part,
- switch on your remote control,
- simultaneously press the + and - buttons for 3 seconds. A blue LED will then start to flash.
Synchronisation with the motor is automatic. As soon as the four red battery level LEDs appear at the bottom of the remote control, it is connected to the motor.

The remote control battery lasts about 10 hours.
If the battery of the remote control is low, a red light starts to flash slowly if there is less than 30% left and quickly if there is less than 10% left. The remote control battery must then be charged using the cable provided.
Even if the light starts to flash, the remote control battery is designed to last for at least one complete outing with your electric assist.

The remote control comes with a magnetic connection cable.
Simply connect the cable to the remote control and the USB connector to a USB socket.

We recommend attaching the remote control to the top part of your SUP paddle, with the LEDs pointing towards you, so you can always see the battery level and use the remote without letting go.
For kayak paddles, place the remote control inside your right or left hand to access the buttons, without having to let go.
You can also secure the remote control to your wrist using the longest rip-tab strap.
