The HRM BELT transmits your heart rate using Bluetooth Smart (4.0) and ANT+ communication technologies.
It delivers great precision and excellent responsiveness in its variations.
Here is all the information you need for optimum use and maintenance of your product.
For correct use of your HRM Belt, follow the steps shown this video.
The product showcased in the video may not be the HRM Belt, but the advice shared in this video is applicable to all heart rate monitor belts.
Phones:
Your heart rate monitor belt is compatible with the following configurations:
- IOS version 6 at least.
- Android version 4.3 at least
Apps:
Nowadays, some sport apps offer the option to connect a Bluetooth accessory that allows you to measure your heart rate. However, it's advisable to first inquire with the app provider. For some functions, you need to have the paid versions of the apps.
device
Most GPS watches and fitness devices (such as indoor trainers, treadmills, etc.) offer the option to connect a Bluetooth or ANT+ accessory to measure heart rate.
In order to get your belt working with your app or device (GPS watch, fitness device), an essential step is to pair your belt with your app or devicet.
To pair them together, the belt must be worn and its red LED must be flashing.
The pairing is done directly on the app (and not in the phone's Bluetooth settings) or on the device. If you're having trouble connecting your HRM BELT to your app or device, please refer to the user manual of your app/device or contact the provider of this app/device.
For example:
- On the Decathlon watches by COROS or COROS, simply go to System/Accessories/Add. Bluetooth and follow the watch instructions
- On the Decathlon Coach app, go to Settings/Connectivity/Connect a product, and then Heart Rate Sensor."Then, follow the instructions given by the app
If you're having trouble
1 - Check that bluetooth is switched on, on your phone or device
2 - Check that your belt is properly positioned on your chest.
3 - Make sure you've properly moistened the sensors on your belt with water or ECG gel.
4 - Check that the battery is inserted correctly and fully charged. The negative terminal should be located on the product side, and the positive terminal on the closing valve side.
You can also try taking out the battery for 5/10 seconds and putting it back in.
The way Bluetooth Smart technology works is different from regular Bluetooth.
So, it's normal that your belt doesn't show up on your device list.
Your belt and your phone will be paired through the app.
If it seems to take a long time or the values appear inconsistent:
1 - Check that your belt is properly positioned and secured (tightened) on your chest. Also, check that it's the right way up.
2 - Make sure you've properly moistened the sensors on your belt.
3 - The heart rate signal can be disrupted by electromagnetic disturbances (high voltage power lines, railways, computers, etc.).Make sure you're not in the vicinity of such disruptions when using your heart rate monitor.4 - Check that the battery's still properly charged.
Your HRM Belt was designed to last 1,000 hrs in activity with a new battery. However, the belt also consumes a little in standby mode.According to our estimations, the belt can therefore be active 3 hours per week for 3 years before the battery runs out.
If the LED on your belt no longer lights up when you wear it correctly, it probably means that your battery has run out.
Lastly, when you finish your workout, use a cloth to dry the electrodes of your belt so that it stops monitoring your heart rate as soon as possible.
If you have various belts and can't identify the one you want to connect, you can find its unique number on the back of the case, at the top right.
This number is indicated on your app/device right after the product name.

It is advisable to wash your belt frequently:
To do this, use water and a cloth to clean the fabric part of the belt, and gently wipe the case part with a slightly damp microfibre cloth.
IMPORTANT:
The belt is not compatible with the washing machine.
Don't leave it to dry near a heat source (radiator, etc.).
