There's no secret to making your canoe-kayak last longer: you just have to look after it properly. Two quick and easy tips to help you enjoy it for longer:
During your days at the beach, it's best to leave it in the shade to protect it from the heat and the sun.
After use, rinse your kayak with cold water to protect it from salt and sand.
You won't be using your canoe-kayak for a few days? It’s best to store it in a dry and well ventilated place.
Do not store your canoe-kayak inflated as it will eventually deflate. The best way to store it over the winter is to dry it thoroughly and pack it away in its bag.
Your canoe bottom is robust, but it is still inflatable. And if you notice a leak or signs of wear on the valve, it doesn't mean it's time to throw it away! Read on for some simple ways you can repair it and make it last longer. It is made of the same material (Dropstitch) as the inflatable stand-up paddle boards.
