Initial Bike

2023

This page is here to guide you through the use of your Initial Bike.

You will find tips for the assembly, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of your exercise bike.

Initial use

How the "pull and turn" wheel works

The "pull and turn" wheel is used to put the bike in the storage position, adjust the saddle height and hold the saddle tube in position, without having to unscrew it completely.

To unscrew: When you turn the wheel (1) anticlockwise, the screw thread (2) rotates in the thread and the contact area (3) comes away from the saddle tube. The saddle tube is held in position by the centring pin (4). Simply pull on the wheel (1), and the pin (4) retracts to release the tube.

To tighten: The centring pin (4) is spring-loaded and automatically snaps into place when it is aligned with an adjustment hole. Simply turn the wheel (1) clockwise so that the thread (2)  is screwed into the threaded hole and the contact area (3) is correctly positioned in the saddle tube.

PROBLEMS

Are you still having issues with your equipment even though it's properly set up? You can find all our FAQs here.

The console is flashing

If the console flashes when you pedal, it is not detecting pedalling. Please disconnect and check the connections you have made at the bottom of the stem tube (step 4 of the assembly instructions) and at the back of the console (step 6 of the assembly instructions).

If the problem persists, please submit a support request using the button at the bottom of this page.

The console won't turn on

Your console doesn't turn on when you pedal.
First, press the button at the back of the console in the bottom centre. The console should light up:
If the console still does not switch on, check the batteries. To do this, remove the cover at the back of the console and check that the batteries are making good contact with their holder. You can also try using new batteries.
The console lights up when you press the button, which means that it is not receiving the information that you are pedalling. You need to check that the speed sensor is connected correctly. Unscrew the screws holding the console in place and ensure that the console is properly connected.

If the console still does not switch on after these checks, please contact Decathlon support.
