Our teams have designed a replacement kit to repair your shower seal. This kit consists of two seals and a plastic part.
The heating time depends on several factors: the initial temperature of the water, the outside temperature, the type of floor (concrete, grass, etc.), the wind, the sun, etc.
To speed up the heating of your shower, you can increase the surface area exposed to the sun by laying down the non-inflated shower. It is best to lay the shower horizontally on a table or on the floor.
You can also use hot water directly. But be careful, the temperature of the water must not exceed 50°C as this could damage the components of the product or be dangerous for you!
To help the temperature rise, it is best to expose the shower to the sun between midday and 6pm. We do not recommend placing it behind a car windscreen; our tests have shown that the water can exceed 70°C.
Note that the temperature drops as soon as the sun fades.
To pressurise your shower, you can use the pump on the shower. After a few moments, a sound will be heard at the valve to indicate maximum pressure. Now you can use your shower!
You may need to pump again during use when the pressure drops.
Remember to push the hose firmly into the connector.
Here are our temperature readings after a heating test on the standing shower exposed to the sun. The test took place one mid-June afternoon in the south of France.
The shower was standing, pressurised and filled with water to its maximum level (10 L).
Outside temperature of 25°C on average, barely any wind, 750 W/M² solar power. Initial water temperature: 22°C.
In 3 hours, the water went from 22°C to 30°C.
In 5 hours, the water went from 22°C to 35°C
In 6 hours 48 minutes, the water went from 22°C to 38°C.
2-year guarantee.
Remember to dry your shower thoroughly after each use. The easiest way to do this is to place it upside down and open.
If you have filled your shower with salt water or if your shower head has picked up some dust, don't hesitate to rinse the shower well with clean water.
Store your shower in a dry place out of the sun. We recommend that you do not expose your shower to direct sunlight for too long - especially if it is empty and you do not heat the water inside.
REPAIRS ON VIDEO
The following videos explain how to carry out the various possible repairs.
Choose the model of your solar shower and find all the compatible spare parts so you can carry out repairs yourself.
Have you stopped using your tent and you don't know what to do with it?
Instead of throwing it away, don't hesitate to resell it second-hand using the Decathlon Second-hand platform!
You can carry out all the operations described above yourself or you can entrust your shower to the workshop of your Decathlon shop. A workshop service also allows you to reinforce the structure of your shower - the rigid cylindrical part - should it become damaged.
OUR TIP: Remember you can call your store to order parts in advance, and avoid having to make several trips.
