I have a problem

MY TREADMILL WILL NOT SWITCH ON

1. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a wall socket in working order (to check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device).

2. Make sure the other end of the power cord is plugged into your treadmill.

3. Check that the main switch near the power cord is in position I.

4. Make sure the safety key is inserted in the console.

LUBRICATION

It is important to lubricate your treadmill in order to reduce friction between the walking belt and the deck (every 200 hours of use to ensure the long life of the belt). If you note traces of silicone on the inner surface of the walking belt (damp, wet and slightly greasy surface), there is no need to lubricate.

If the belt and deck are dry:
         • Switch off treadmill and unplug.
         • Lift the edges of the walking belt and coat the inner surface with silicone.*
         • Plug in treadmill.
         • Before using, run the walking belt at 4km/h (2.5 mph) for 10-20 seconds.
         • Your treadmill is now ready to use!

* One lube application usually requires between 5 and 10 ml of silicone. Warning: a surfeit of silicone can adversely aect the functioning of your treadmill (risk of slipping). To purchase belt lube, please contact your local DECATHLON store.

RUNNING BELT TENSION

The running belt is a wearing part which stretches over time. Take up any slack as soon as it begins to slip (skidding sensation, speed becomes jerky).

1&2. Turn the 2 adjustment screws half a turn clockwise. (Repeat if necessary but be careful not to overtighten the belt).

3. The belt is properly tightened if you can lift the edges by 2 to 3 cm on each side

ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE WALKING BELT (CENTRING)

Locate the coloured markings at the front of the treadmill. If you can only see the green colour on both sides, the belt is correctly centred. If you see some red, the belt needs to be recentred. This prevents damage to the walking belt and untimely stopping.

1. Run your treadmill at 4 km/h (2.5 mph) and stand behind the machine.

2.
The belt is skewed to the left:
Turn the left adjusting screw clockwise half a turn.

The belt is skewed to the right:
Turn the right adjusting screw clockwise half a turn.

3. Let the treadmill run long enough for the belt to reposition itself (1-2 minutes) and repeat the procedure if necessary.

This centring operation must only be made occasionally to avoid damaging your treadmill.

WHEN I GET ON MY TREADMILL, THE SPEED SLOWS DOWN

The running belt is slack

          => Select the \"tension running belt\" tab

MY TREADMILL IS NOISY

The running belt is off-centre => Select the \"Centre running belt\" tab

The running belt is not lubricated => Select the \"Lubricate running belt\" tab

THE TREADMILL'S MOTOR IS SLOWING DOWN OR STOPPING IRREGULARLY

The running belt tension is too high

=> Check the running belt's tension. There should be a gap of about 3 cm between the deck and the belt, measured in the centre of the deck

=> If the gap isn't right, unscrew the two hex bolts on each side of the back of the treadmill then loosen the running belt

MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance is necessary to maintain the performance of the machine and to extend the life of the product.

The following can help reduce treadmill noise:

        1. Tighten the screws and bolts once a month.
        2. Lubricate the running belt after 200 hours of use.
        3. Place a suitable floor mat (such as the Domyos Training Mat) under your treadmill.

Cleaning:

        1. Switch off and then unplug the treadmill.
        2. Apply a small amound of mild, multi-purpose cleaner, using a 100% cotton cloth. Do not spray directly onto the walking belt and do not use acid or ammonia-based cleaning products.
        3. Wipe the console and screens.
        4. Remove any dust and grime from the hand rails, uprights, foot rails, frame and motor hood. In addition, wipe the deck along the sides of the walking belt. Do not wipe under the walking belt.
