There is no secret to making your board last longer: you just have to look after it properly. 2 simple and easy tips to enjoy your board for longer:
1. CLEANING YOUR BOARD
When you run your wetsuit through the beach shower, take the opportunity to rinse your board as well. Why? Simply to remove the sand from the board before it dries. There’s nothing more unpleasant than finding sand stuck in the wax when you start your next session! If there is no fresh water tap at the spot, rinse both sides of your surfboard in water when you finish surfing.
2. WIPE DOWN AND STORE YOUR BOARD IN ITS BAG
Remember to wipe your surfboard with a towel (or your poncho) before putting it in its anti-UV bag in order to protect the polystyrene foam against the heat and to prevent it from turning yellow or, even worse, expanding and becoming misshapen.

PUTTING AWAY AND STORING YOUR BOARD
Design a surfboard rack to store your boards in your garage rather than leaving them in your car. Protect the tail of the board with a piece of EVA foam that you can easily find in any DIY store.
