How to adjust the back length of this bag?

The ultra-light carabiners on the back of the bag let you adjust its length according to your needs.Simply move them from one size to another.

Back length (distance from 7th cervical vertebra – iliac crest):
- Minimum: 37 cm / 15 in
- Maximum: 53 cm / 21 in

What are the different accessories and pockets in this bag?

The construction of this bag is minimalist to ensure its ultra-light weight.However, this minimalism doesn’t mean we can’t offer a range of storage spaces:

  • Roll-top closure
  • 3 large external pockets
  • Water bottle and belt pocket access without taking off your bag
  • An internal zipped pocket (keys, money, passport, etc.)
  • Compatibility with a 2-litre water bladder
  • A top strap compatible with a standard Bear Canister

How to adjust your backpack?

This unisex bag is designed to suit both female and male body types.

To best adjust your backpack, it’s best to follow these steps:

  1. Start by loosening all the straps on your bag.
  2. Load your bag with your trekking gear.
  3. Attach the belt at your hips, and tighten.
  4. Adjust the back length so that the top of the straps matches the shape of your shoulders.
  5. Adjust the straps so that distribution is even between the top and bottom of your back.
  6. Adjust the chest strap to firmly hold your bag against your back.
  7. Tighten the load adjuster (located at the top of the straps) to bring your bag closer to your body.

Is this bag compatible with accessories on the market?

This bag can accommodate standard ultra-light accessories on the market thanks to the loops on its straps and belt.For example, you can add a water bottle holder on the shoulder straps and an additional pocket on the belt.

What is the maximum load weight of this bag?

This bag is suitable for an ideal loaded weight of 10 kg.
The maximum recommended weight is 12 kg.

What warranty period applies to this backpack?

Our Simond trekking backpacks are guaranteed for 10 years, excluding normal wear and tear of the product.
In the event of a defect, we offer repairs, replacement or refund.
The warranty covers components from the zip to the seams.

What equipment do you need for an ultralight trek?

Because an ultralight bag also means taking suitable equipment, here is a list of our essentials so you can head off with a minimum amount of equipment.

How to look after your MT900 UL backpack?

First, if your bag needs a clean, NEVER machine-wash it.
To wash it, follow these instructions:

  1. Get a bowl of warm water, soap paste, a soft brush and cloth.
  2. Empty your bag.
  3. Dip the brush in warm water and pick up a small amount of soap paste.
  4. Rub the different areas of your bag.
  5. Then leave your bag to dry.
  6. Once your bag is dry, apply a water-repellent reactivator liquid.
  7. You now have a bag that’s almost like new.

Your MT900 UL bag has lots of repairable parts:

  • The buckles, 15 mm or 25 mm, depending on their location
  • External pocket elastics
  • A tear with a patch

Repairing a bag buckle

How to repair a buckle on your MT900 UL backpack?

Changing the buckle is one of the easiest DIY repairs you can do.
Follow the steps below and your bag will be as good as new:

  • Check the width of your buckle. You can refer to the diagram above or get your ruler and measure the width of the strap. Please note that on this bag, there are only two sizes of buckles: 15 mm and 25 mm.
  • Pick up or buy a buckle that’s the correct size.
  • Remove the broken buckle.
  • Open the catch on your new buckle.
  • Insert the catch into the strap.
  • Pass the strap through the second part.
  • That’s it!

Repair patch

How to apply a repair patch to your backpack?

Got a tear on your backpack?
Follow these instructions to apply your patch:

  • Clean the area with the hole in it
  • Let it dry
  • Take your repair patch
  • If the patch is too big, cut it down, rounding off the corners
  • Apply it, pushing out any bubbles
  • Let it stand for an hour
  • Your bag is ready for new adventures!
