2. Minimum wheel diameter of 26".
3. Quick release with rim or disc brakes.
4. Minimum 8-speed cassette.
5. Compatible with SHIMANO/SRAM road 12-speed cassettes. (Our freehub body is a "Hyperglide" one, which isn't compatible with SRAM XD/XDR and Campagnolo cassettes).
IMPORTANT: The turbo trainer is not compatible with the CERVELO P5.
Here are some tips on using your new turbo trainer for the first time:
FITTING A CASSETTE TO YOUR TURBO TRAINER
1. Your turbo trainer comes without a cassette. You will need to buy your own.
Choose a SHIMANO/SRAM road 8- to 12-speed cassette. (During assembly, if you have an 8/9/10-speed cassette, use the spacer on the freehub body before mounting your cassette)
Your cassette must be compatible with our Hyperglide freehub body.
The freehub body provided is only compatible with SRAM XD/XDR and Campagnolo cassettes.
Make sure the cassette and freehub body are compatible.
2. Fit the cassette to the freehub body and use an appropriate tool to tighten the ring mount on the cassette.
FITTING YOUR BIKE ON A TURBO TRAINER
To install your bike on the D100 turbo trainer choose:
1. The correct wheel axle based on:
- the type of brake (rim / disc)
- the frame spacing at the back of your frame.
(Please note: For sizes 142 x 12 mm and 148 x 12 mm, use your bike's thru axle)
Once you've identified this, use the "ring mounts" provided and place them on the turbo trainer.
2. Put your chain on the small chainring and the small cog and remove the rear wheel.
3. Then, put your chain on the D100 turbo trainer's cassette, then tighten the axle.
CONNECTING YOUR TURBO TRAINER
Switch on your turbo trainer. Wait until the LEDs under the Van Rysel logo start flashing. Then scan for your turbo trainer on your favourite indoor training app and connect the two via Bluetooth or ANT+.
ONELAP FIT
The OneLap Fit app allows you to set up and calibrate your turbo trainer and download all the updates needed for it to work properly.
ONELAP
Connect to OneLap and you'll enter the world of Van Rysel, with a kit in the colours of the Flemish brand.
One-month subscription free when you buy the app. You'll get a second month free if you do a minimum of five sessions on the app.
It's essential to take good care of your turbo trainer to make it last longer.
CLEANING YOUR TURBO TRAINER
After every training session, you should clean your D100 with a damp cloth. This will remove any dust and sweat that collects on it.
Switch off your D100 before you start cleaning.
CHECK FOR STABILITY
Since the feet can't be adjusted manually, make sure that your floor is flat and that all four feet are touching it.
If it's unstable, you could damage the product.
RESTRICTIONS & STORAGE
Your turbo trainer is designed for home use only.
Maximum user weight: 115 kg.
Do not store your turbo trainer in a damp place and/or outside.
FEATURES
1. Check that the product is turned on.
2. Turn your phone's bluetooth off then on again.
3. Check your phone to make sure that Bluetooth is on and has been so for more than 15 seconds.
4. Check that your turbo trainer has not already been paired with another phone.
5. Make sure all of the available updates have been installed (turbo trainer, phone, app).
6. Connect the turbo trainer in the target app (ZWIFT, ONELAP, KINOMAP, etc) and not from your phone/tablet settings.
7. If the problem lies with the app, go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store for help.
To pair your turbo trainer to the ONELAP FIT app:
1. Check that you're using the latest version of the ONELAP FIT app.
2. Check your phone to make sure that Bluetooth is on and has been so for more than 15 seconds.
3. Check that your turbo trainer has not already been paired with another phone.
3. The turbo trainer must be plugged in and switched on.
The LEDs on the side of the turbo trainer show the status of the connection. Please refer to the instructions to find out what the LEDs mean.
Regularly check whether any updates are available on ONELAP FIT so that you can enjoy all of the turbo trainer's latest features.
The turbo trainer must be calibrated regularly to guarantee the requisite accuracy. Calibration allows you to redress any movement in the mechanical assemblies over time.
We recommend you calibrate the turbo trainer before you use it for the first time and then every two weeks approximately.
Open the ONELAP FIT app, pair the turbo trainer and select the calibration module. Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm the calibration process.
Switch off all Bluetooth devices in the vicinity of the turbo trainer.
They may cause interference during wireless communication.
Disconnect Bluetooth, then reconnect your turbo trainer.
If you feel a slipping sensation when you accelerate, then the belt on your turbo trainer is slack. Please contact customer services for help.
1. Check the chain and cassette for wear (a worn chain on a new cassette will cause cracking).
2. Check that the number of gears on the turbo trainer's cassette is the same as on the bike's cassette.
3. Check that your axle's springs are positioned the right way around, with the large end of the spring on the outside and the small end on the inside.
It's the maximum gradient that the turbo trainer can simulate.
For example, if the turbo trainer's maximum incline is 12%, then the resistance won't increase any more, even if the slope is steeper. On the other hand, the power displayed will take the gradient into account.
ERG is a mode for controlling the turbo trainer's resistance.
ERG mode controls the turbo trainer automatically so that you're working at a constant power. So, it'll automatically adjust the resistance based on your cadence.
In theory, power = torque x RPM.
So, at a given power, if the cadence reduces significantly, then the resistance level will increase to the point that it is maximal. This means you'll find it hard or even impossible to get your turbo trainer going.
Tip: Turn ERG mode off in the app so that you can build up some cadence, then turn it on again.
